Heading tags are headlines that help to structure the content of a web document into meaningful sections. There are a total of six different ways to mark headlines (H1-H6). The H1 and H2 tags play a particularly important role in OnPage optimization, as search engines give them greater importance. The numbers express the importance of the headlines, with H1 being the most important headline and H6 the less important. It is therefore recommended to use the relevant search terms in the headline as well.

You can find the report with the headlines in the Website Success App under "Contents" > "Headlines".

In this report you will get a graphical and tabular display of all your pages that contain H headings.

First, you can analyze the number of H1 tags used, which are displayed in clearly arranged bar charts. You should take a closer look at the areas marked in red, as either no or too many H1 headlines have been set here. The green marked area shows all pages that have only one H1-tag and are therefore ok.

Optimization suggestion:

Think of a suitable H1 main headline that best summarizes the thematic content of the entire page. Change the existing H1 to H2 headings in your code. This will make the work of the search engines easier, because now your content sends out clearer signals. Do this process for the next page. After optimization, each page should have a maximum of one H1 headline (if possible).
