The sitemap.xml file is usually saved in the root folder of your domain, e. g. Some websites, however, save their sitemap.xml file to a different location to hide them from their competitors. In that case, you should send your sitemap to search engines to make sure your sitemap can be found by their crawler bots. The best way to do this is to add your sitemap.xml to your robots.txt.

Our crawler looks for the sitemap in your root folder, following the usual naming convention. If you have multiple sitemaps or if your sitemap is saved in a custom location or with a custom file name please make sure to enter the URL of your sitemap in the project settings. Once you have saved the custom sitemap URL(s) our crawler will check them during future crawls.

Entering custom sitemap URLs is available from the Basic Suite onwards.
